About the Role:
The Resident Assistant helps maintain a safe, clean, and drug- and alcohol-free environment at the Tribal Sober Living Facility. This position supports residents with daily living skills, follows individual treatment plans, completes required documentation, and adheres to all facility policies and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned to support program and departmental goals.

About the Role:
The Resident Assistant helps maintain a safe, clean, and drug- and alcohol-free environment at the Tribal Sober Living Facility. This position supports residents with daily living skills, follows individual treatment plans, completes required documentation, and adheres to all facility policies and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned to support program and departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean, drug- and alcohol-free living environment and enforce house rules.
- Monitor residents, communicate updates during shift changes, and report incidents promptly.
- Conduct drug and alcohol screenings and assist with resident check-in and discharge.
- Support residents with daily living tasks and supervise assigned chores.
- Provide transportation to approved appointments, meetings, and activities.
- Complete required documentation, reports, and basic administrative duties.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology preferred.
- Experience working in a Residential facility preferred.
- Experience working with clients who are attempting to break the cycle of drugs and/or alcohol dependency preferred.
- CPR Certification or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire required.
- Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
- Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
- Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
- Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
- Ability to enforce rules and maintain accountability in a structured environment.
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) in a Windows environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Trustworthy, mature, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Effective verbal and written communication with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Dependable, accountable, and able to follow policies and procedures.
