About the Role:
The Cook is responsible for preparing meals in a timely manner for our Tribal seniors according to the menu. This role ensures proper food handling, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and keeps refrigeration and storage areas in order. Additional duties may be assigned to support program and departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures high-quality food preparation and service
- Checks food quality (taste, smell, freshness)
- Follows recipes and product specifications
- Maintains proper inventory levels
- Assists with special projects and additional duties as needed
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year experience in cooking for large groups required.
- Must possess ServSafe Certification or obtain certification within one (1) year from date of hire in this position.
- Ability to remain engaged until assignments are completed and overcome obstacles.
- Takes accountability for performance and results.
- Open and honest communicator and follows policies and procedures.
- Prepares and plates food according to recipes and quality standards
- Chops, slices, and prepares ingredients and sauces
- Follows proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Operates kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Ensures meals are ready on time
- Maintains accuracy, quality, and organization
- Works independently or as part of a team, with flexible hours
- Must pass background and character check
- Able to travel and attend required trainings
- Capable of performing all job duties successfully
