About the Role:
The Gatekeeper monitors and manages the entrance gate, controlling traffic entering and leaving the property. This role also assists with general upkeep, maintenance, and minor repairs of the grounds, buildings, and equipment. Additional duties may be assigned to support program and departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and operate the entrance gate, controlling entry and exit of employees and visitors.
  • Check credentials, issue passes, and direct guests to areas within the reserve.
  • Maintain visitor logs and check in campers, tubers, and other guests.
  • Collect fees and manage reservations for campsites, pavilions, and tubing Provide friendly customer service and answer phone or email inquiries.
  • Inspect vehicles for unauthorized items and ensure no property is removed without permission.
  • Assist with general grounds and facility maintenance, including mowing and basic upkeep.
  • Maintain and monitor equipment, report issues, and perform other duties as assigned.
Core Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 16 or older.
  • Must be willing to work odd and irregular hours, including weekends.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
  • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
  • Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events
  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully

  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks reliably.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow policies and procedures.
